The natural healing force in each one of us is the greatest force in getting well
Shambala: A Restorative Wellness Retreat in Northern Ireland
Nestled along the peaceful shores of Upper Lough Erne in Co. Fermanagh, Shambala Holistic & Retreat Centre is a place created for rest, reconnection and wellbeing — a space where people can step away from the demands of everyday life and take time to simply breathe, restore and come back to themselves.
The Centre took on the name Shambala in 2012, later evolving into Shambala Holistic & Retreat Centre as its vision and offering continued to grow.
At the heart of Shambala is its founder, Sukhada, whose journey into holistic wellbeing began with her training in 1999. With over twenty years of experience as a holistic therapist, her approach has been shaped not only by years of study and practice, but also by the many people she has supported along the way.
Since 2012, Sukhada has also worked with Lake Isle Retreats, deepening her experience of creating and holding spaces where people can slow down, explore holistic practices and reconnect with their own sense of balance.
For the last several years, she has brought this experience into her own retreats, weaving together holistic therapies, mindful practices and the restorative quality of the natural surroundings.
Today, Shambala continues to grow as a welcoming space for holistic therapies, workshops, wellbeing experiences and retreats — grounded in Sukhada’s belief that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can give ourselves is the time and space to reconnect.
